Creation & The Love Singles
Salvation Magenta is a Canadian alternative rock band and was founded in June of 2018 by singer Drew Waddell.
The band would remain dormant in the summer of 2018. It wasn't until the Fall Drew would collaborate with producer Jonathan Mansilla (JONY) to create Magenta's first single titled Love Is Snow. Love Is Snow was released on all platforms on October 12th, 2018.
Only months later, another single would be in the works. Titled Until It Disappears, the single was released on February
15th, 2019. The two singles were dubbed "The Love Singles" due to them both revolving around the topic of love.
The Afraid of Falling Era
Come April, it was time to begin the next project. This time an EP.
The actual idea of this EP was around for about a year prior to it's production. And after months of dreaming up lyrics, it finally entered production in early April. We finally wrapped production around mid May.
Drew wanted to try something different this time around with the promo of the EP. Drew created a total of three "chapters" which were short 30 second video segments that would reveal something new about the project. They were released throughout the month of June on S.M.'s YouTube. Afraid of Falling finally released to the public on July 5th, 2019.
